Australian Catholic University Greek Association (ACUGA)

The Australian Catholic University Greek Association was established and formed in 2013 by Nastassja Sidiropoulos at the St. Patricks campus. The following year it became affiliated to the National Union of Greek Australian Students (NUGAS). By its second year ACUGA had doubled its memberships and become a popular university club.

The aim of ACUGA is to provide and encourage social activities and cultural events, which will unite Greek students and non-Greek students both within and outside the University. The aim of these activities is to spread Hellenism and Greek tradition allowing students of all nationalities to learn and partake in culturally enriched events.

Be a leader in the community! ACUGA was the first official organisation to donate to the fundraising campaign for the Holy Church of the Annunciation of our Lady (Ευαγγελισμός) – the Greek church located directly across from ACU Melbourne Campus. The funds will go towards restoring the church which was unfortunately destroyed by fire last May.
