ABOUT

RUSH is RMIT’s home for Greek students and Hellenic culture, bringing together Greeks and Philhellenes from across campus into one vibrant community. Rooted in philoxenia, pride, and tradition, RUSH celebrates everything from Greek language, history, and identity to modern music, nightlife, and uni life. We host social events, inter-uni catch-ups, cultural nights, and collaborations with Greek societies across Melbourne—connecting students beyond RMIT and strengthening the wider Hellenic network. Whether you’re Greek by blood, Greek by heart, or just keen to be part of a welcoming, energetic community, RUSH is where culture, friendship, and good times meet.

It enables Greeks to get in touch with their roots and Non-Greeks to explore a new culture. RMIT prides itself on a strong connection to the Greek-Australian community. As a passionate and enthusiastic club, some of the events we have hosted in the past include: our Hellenic Night, dance workshops, our very own on-campus and delicious Sweets Day and Greek Feast provided authentic Greek food and sweets to all RUSH Members, and our collaborative RUSH x MUnGA Drinks Night.
